Environments
>The following table contains a large sampling of the types of beds (facilities) Buster has slept in. It is arranged in alphabetic order. Many of the beds, particularly later in life, were in a Rent a Shared Room (RASR) environment. He himself, Buster considers himself a grade 3.5 Star Equivalent housing specialist. The findings here are based on lived experience. The assessment is a screening tool in that it has less than 15 items.

1/3 of income rent rule
The 1/3 (or 30%) income-to-rent rule
suggests spending no more than
one-third of your monthly gross income on housing. This rule, rooted in
historical property management and federal housing initiatives, serves as a
guideline for rent affordability. While it can be a helpful benchmark to avoid
overspending, it may be unrealistic in high-cost areas or for those with
significant debt, requiring adjustment based on unique financial circumstances
and other essential expenses.

RASR Concentration
Query > “concentration renting a shared room” [GO BACK}
Maintaining focus while renting a shared room requires setting clear expectations with your roommates, optimizing your personal space, and utilizing external resources for studying. By creating structure and managing potential distractions, you can effectively balance shared living with your need for concentration.

Define Bed
>A piece of furniture for sleep or rest, typically a framework with a mattress and coverings. A bed also includes things like: Arthropod status (Bedbugs), a pillow or pillows, mattress pad, quality mattress, storage space below. A quality Bed isn’t a bunk bed. The coverings should be user friendly. For example, for those sensitive to wool make no provision of wool coverings.
Lived Experience
Lived experience refers to the unique personal knowledge, understanding, and insight gained from direct, firsthand involvement in particular circumstances, events, or identities. It is a form of expertise based on a person's perspective and history rather than formal education or research, providing valuable insight into the challenges and nuances of specific situations. For example, someone with personal experience in the foster care system has a lived experience that allows them to offer valuable, firsthand knowledge about navigating that system.
Step Down in Health & Human Services
In the context of Health & Human Services, "step down"
can refer to either a step-down care unit (a medical unit providing less
intensive care than an ICU) or a step-down program (like step-down housing or residential treatment, supporting individuals transitioning from
higher-intensity care to community living).

Natural Supports
Natural supports are the personal, informal, and typically unpaid relationships people have with family, friends, coworkers, community members, and other informal connections in their daily lives, which enhance their quality of life, promote independence, and provide emotional and practical assistance. Unlike formal supports, such as paid services from therapists or care managers, natural supports are integrated into a person's everyday environment and are fundamental for social integration and well-being.
Respite
Respite care provides short-term relief for primary caregivers and consumers, giving them time to rest, travel, or spend time with other family and friends. The break may last anywhere from a few hours to several weeks at a time. Respite can take place at home, in a health care facility, in the community or at an adult day care center. Oct 12, 2023
Bedding Belief
>We here at MSG have a tentative belief that it takes ninety (90) days or more in the assigned bed to earn the Bed Specialist Grade (BSG) for that particular type of Bed. Years ago, Dr. Clayton Lon Chau stated: After hospitalization “it is unwise to return the consumer to the living arrangement that put them in the hospital in the first place”. In addition, he stated that: “Recovery is non-linear”.
Housing Specialist positions are often graded based on experience and responsibilities,
with levels like I, II, and sometimes III or higher. Grade I is typically an
entry-level position, while Grade II represents a journey level, requiring more
independent work and expertise. Advancement
generally depends on demonstrated proficiency and meeting specific
requirements.
Change Gears
AI Overview
An "AI overview" can refer to a feature that provides AI-generated summaries on a Google search results page, or it can generally refer to the entire field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI in the general sense is technology that allows computers to perform tasks like seeing, understanding language, learning, and making decisions, while Google's AI Overviews are specific AI-generated snapshots designed to provide quick, baseline information in response to user queries.
Time Stamps
A timestamp is a digital record of the date and time when an event occurred, usually represented in a human-readable format. In computing, it is commonly used to track when data was created, modified, or accessed.
20250824-SU: Google's AI Overviews needs time stamps
There is no official announcement from Google confirming a plan to add timestamps to AI Overviews. As of August 2025, AI Overviews do not display a visible publication or update date. This lack of transparency is a point of criticism, particularly from publishers and SEO professionals.
SEO
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, the practice of improving a website's visibility in organic (non-paid) search engine results to increase traffic and exposure. By understanding user intent, optimizing website content and technical aspects, and earning quality backlinks, SEO helps search engines like Google and Bing find, crawl, and rank a site higher, connecting it with people seeking specific information or solutions.
Can AI Make use of Assessment Data?
Yes, AI can significantly make use of assessment data to automate grading, provide instant and personalized feedback, generate reports on student performance, identify learning patterns, and adapt assessments in real-time to individual skill levels. AI analyzes data to offer insights into student strengths and weaknesses, enhancing instructional efficiency and helping to tailor learning pathways.
